How is Mammoth Ski Resort's snow conditions before there closing just before June?

Does it easily get all slushy like how it is now in SoCal?? I do not want my snowboarding season to end very soon, I'm hoping Mammoth will extend that. I know their last part of the season is like April 23-May 31st. I have not been to Mammoth before.

optional question: also what hotel is a good place to stay for a good price thanks

Conditions will be very spring like, but shouldn't be too bad.

Hey, wet snow is better than no snow at all.
Reply:my friend is there right now

she said its fine not terrible
Reply:Mammoth is a great place for late season skiing - even well into late Spring. High altitude and deep snowpack keeps their season going longer than most resorts. Mammoth is not similar to most So. Cal resorts, since it is far enough north and has a great base elevation, giving it a great snowpack.. They keep enough staff employed to still maintain a lot of their snowcat crew -- meaning they still take great care to groom much of the mountain. Between 1030am and 12 noon, the groomers offer great Spring like riding, making it easy to carve, not too hard/icy/bulletproof. And, usually very warm and sunny. Have a great time.
Reply:Mammoth actually closes on the 4th of July. I just went on a trip there last month and the snow was wicked awesome! Fresh powder on chair 3! It was a blast! A bit icy on the easy slopes but I guess it just depends on your skill level. I stuck to the tougher runs and they had plenty of powder. A week after I left, I heard that it dumped 6 feet of snow. I've never been in June though, my friend says it isn't that great but it's better than nothing! I stayed in the Villiage. Price is a bit "ify" but its nice to be able to practically walk to the lift!
