Where in the snowy mountains, australia does it snow during late june - early july? (suburbs)?

We are planning a holiday with the extended family during the winter School holidays and would like to no the best places for the right price and also a good place for the kids to have fun!!!

Reply:But Boonoora, there is rarely good snow cover until July, and the best cover is in August and September. Do you ever get anything right?





The two major resorts are Perisher Blue and Thredbo. They both have on snow accommodation, but see my answer to your other question. A nearby town is Jindabyne. Perisher is most likely to have snow early in the season.





There is a smaller resort called Selwyn Snowfields which is suitable for beginners. It has no on snow accommodation, but is near a town called Adaminaby.





There are also Victoria, but, unless you are staying on snow, the drive up is horrible. The NSW drive is much more civilised.
