Does it not feel like Christmas to anyone else?

Maybe its just because im depressed by my family seems to feel the same way, maybe because we had a snow storm in october and it is currently like 60 degrees, no snow in sight. either way does anyone else just not feel like its christmas at all? like they are gonna wake up and have everyone say "suprise its june"?

Does it not feel like Christmas to anyone else?
You are lucky you had snow. Where i live, in Tennessee, We haven't had snow at all. not once this year.

And since our family is moving, we couldn't put up decorations, or a tree. No presents. Nothing.
Reply:My lack of Christmas Spirit has everything to do with money. I know . . I know, but I tried to do the spirit thing. The truth is, it always felt like Christmas when someone was opening something I gave them from the heart. I was unable to spend any money on gifts this year, so now I'm wondering around not feeling Christmas what so ever.

Just as well, Jesus wasn't born on this day anyway.
Reply:It's not just you the weather does help with the felling of Christmas

if there was snow on the ground it would change your felling

i think it just a norther day but you get presents

have a happy day
Reply:My first year in Australia for Xmas. Erm, its boiling, and I am from the UK (usually minus 2 or so). A barby on the beach and presents under a plastic tree. Xmassy, erm no...
Reply:i do not feel like Christmas at all.but mine is a different reason.i just don't feel Jesus in Christmas it is all pagan.i am a Christan .but I'm really thinking about going in to the messianic movement.Jews and gentiles worship ping together like they first did .in the early church.i tried to feel Christmas but cant.look around .there are hardly any nativity scenes. and Harley anybody lights up there house any more.peace be with you and your family.
Reply:Every year that passes that warm fuzzy feeling that comes with Christmas seems to have diminished both in quantity and quality. I can chalk some of it up to age and my own outlook; but there is something missing beyond age and lack of snow.

There seems to be a lack of willingness to embrace the human condition or at least take time out from the battle -- and that concerns me a lot. We have snow on the ground here in New Mexico and crisp temperatures. Would love to share some with you all.

Merry Christmas.
Reply:I think if you are older than 10, Christmas is really hard to get into. The running around, the shopping for crappy presents just to give someone.

Although, I went to Christmas mass tonight and the teenage girl doing a solo blew me away it was so good. Had to wipe a tear from my eye. That's what Christmas should be.
Reply:My family agrees that the lack of snow has made this Christmas not feel like Christmas. It's unfortunate, too, because snow will probably come in January and last until April or May when it's not wanted...
Reply:I feel the same way. I think that the weather does play a role in it. Also, it seems to have come quickly as well.

Either way, it has arrived and be sure to enjoy it.
