A hiker who lost his life on Mount Rainier lay down in the snow and used his body's warmth to protect his wife and a friend from the 70-mph winds of a freak June blizzard, national park officials said.
My question is: Would you be willing to let him save your life? Or would you fight him to be the one to sacrifice, I mean could you accept the sacrifice he made, knowing you could've changed places with him?
Just read a hiker gave his life to save his wife %26amp; a friend...?
You would never know for sure until you're in that exact situation. I think the idea of living w/o my partner is so much more painful than dying. But like I said, you'll never know.
Reply:Would it not have been better to rotate which person was open to the cold and wind and possibly save all three?
Reply:I don't think I could honestly answer without having been in a situation like that. That's a difficult question. All I can say for sure is that, if there is some kind of a paradise after death, I sure hope he's enjoying it.
Reply:He had a fantasy to be one of those stinking things Han Solo cut open and stuck Luke in.
Reply:I agree with David.
I was in mountains on winter hiking trips and constant motion is the way to go, to keep the blood circulation going.
I cannot answer this, because, i would do it differently.
