My husband and I want to fly from Scotland and drive through Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion then on to Yosemite and San Francisco. Which would be the easiest airport to fly into for this trip, Denver or Pheonix? We have been to Grand Canyon twice so don't mind giving it a miss. Tried to go to Yosemite in April , 2 years ago ( driving from SFO to LAS) but had to cancel due to snow.Had to drive Bakersfield-Ridgecrest to Death Valley ( one long drive! ). Planning to go in June next year, will there still be a chance of road closures due to snow? Sorry if this seems a silly question. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is 2 weeks giving ourselves long enough?
Denver or pheonix to SFO?
PHX is closer, all yosemite roads open at end of May,
2 weeks is perfect, one week in Utah and Arizona, another week in California and drive back PHX( one-way rental too expensive) so you can explore more of California you didn't know about, see all http://www.bayareavisit.com/LA.html
