We also wanted cool weather but we werent looking for snow. Try Red River, New Mexico. There's a lot that you can do there for cheap or free and just enjoy the scenery, but there's a lot to do otherwise too. It's close to Cloudcroft, and you could drive there one day, or Eagle's Nest, which I hear has a wonderful facy restraurant. I'm not sure where to tell you to stay if you want to stay in a cabin, but there's a website you can visit that has every lodging place in town. We thought about staying at a B%26amp;B Called Yellow Rose Bed %26amp; Breakfast. They only have one room that has a private bath, but it's very pretty and nice. They even have Summer Romance Special. Hope this helps. As far as the snow, I've personally been there 5 times in July and each time we found snow when we hiked the mountains. It's not usually on the ground, but then again, you're not paying the price to take a really expensive trip to Alaska either.
Reply:I don't think that you are going to find snow in u.s. in june, Go on a nice get away after wedding and go to the snow in the winter.
Reply:Well...i think your a little late for snow...i live in

colorado...been to the mountains twice this mth

a place called Lake Dillon out I-70 and also

Keystone...Keystone got a dusting of snow...I'am talking 10,000 ft above sea level...

Sooo...I would recommend you try Wyoming...

Maybe the Grand Teton area...Congrats ...Natives are restless
Reply:Alaska is beautiful in June... And even Glacier National Park in Montana, they have Log Cabins and even wild bears and mountains that no man has stepped foot on JUST beautiful... Have fun
Reply:alaska?
Reply:You should probably consider getting married later in the year. Seriously. I've lived in the areas that people are recommending--Wyoming, Montana--and there isn't any snow in June.
Reply:There might be some snow left in the Tetons, try Jackson, WY. I live in Riverton and can see some snow left on the mountain tops. There isn't much though. Maybe further north in Montana there might be some. Also, Park City Utah might still have some snow, call around now and see who has it now and then you'll have an idea for next year. good Luck.
Reply:Try your local travel agency --- they should be able to help you locate a place.
Reply:Only in Alaska, or the very tip-top of the mountain ranges.
Reply:snow in summer.. It'd have to be top of mountains, What about Montana, that is furthest fromt he equator and has mountains
Reply:Plenty of places still have some snow in June. In fact, there's plenty on Mt. St Helens and Mt Hood right now in the Portland, OR area. The higher the elevation, the more likely the chance of snow. I agree with the asking a travel agent, or put off your 'snow trip' until later in the year.
Reply:talk to your travel agent
Reply:at one time, I lived in cloudcroft, nm. in june. yes there was snow. I am not sure if it is the same every year . i also live in tx. it was enough snow to scare me from driving much. there are lots of b and b's. check with chamber of commerce there!
Reply:go to bear valley
Reply:The best you can hope for in June in Montana is to see the snow on the mountain tops.

To be IN the snow, you'd have to have a cabin hanging sideways on the snowy slopes of the peaks.

Postpone your honeymoon until November, then you'll have a large pick of choices.
