Naval Academy summer seminar??

I would love to go to this, its for high school juniors (which i am)

but the three different times it runs is during when school is still going on for my school ( we are stuck till June 19th, yeah i know, like 6 snow days and three bomb threats to make up)

is it worth it to miss 6 days of school to go to this, will they allow me to if they know im still in school?

Naval Academy summer seminar??
yes it is worth missing school for....

besides it should be an excused absence from your school, it will be like you were in the seat!

Should be no problem.

Good Luck
Reply:definitely miss school. my cousin went as was glad he did. i am sure they will allow you to go. its the military!!

but you said you are a junior now, and that could be a problem since the deadline was in about a month ago think. i am almost positive that they arent accepting anymore applicants to the summer seminar, but you can give it a try.
Reply:Yes, your school should allow you to miss classes to attend NASS.

If you are planning on applying to USNA then you should definitely try to go. Although it is much more like a summer camp than actual life at the Academy (especially Plebe year), your interaction with current Midshipmen should be of some guidance to your decision of whether USNA is the right place for you.

If you do get accepted to Summer Seminar, be sure to bring with you an open mind, questions about life in the Brigade, and some motivation and you should have a great experience. I am a squad leader for Summer Seminar Detail this summer and hope to see you there. Best of luck with your application.
Reply:Yes, it is. At least it was in 1976.

If you have an inkling of applying for USNA, go to this.
Reply:yes, a few of my fellow summer seminar buds were still in school while there

go to summer seminar

DO NOT go to the academy

you'll thank me later
